Comba Telecom Strengthens Mobile Networks Across Australia

Through Repeaters and Remote Network Management System to Enhance 2G, 3G, and 4G Networks Nationwide

(29 March 2017, Hong Kong) – Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited (“Comba Telecom” or “the Group,” Hong Kong stock code: 2342), a global leading wireless solutions provider, has announced a partnership with one of the major telecom operators in Australia. In the partnership, Comba Telecom is to be the main supplier of repeaters and remote network management system, enabling the telecom operator to improve its coverage, frequency bands, and speed of networks across the entire country.

The vast adoption of mobile devices and emergence of over-the-top (OTT) content have driven mobile data consumption up to unprecedented levels. As a result, consumers are now demanding more data and faster speeds to access the content they want and on devices that suit their lifestyles. To address this growing appetite for reliable and robust connectivity, telecom operators have invested extensively into infrastructure to deliver 4G mobile coverage.

Through this partnership, Comba Telecom will be supplying high, medium, low, and Pico repeaters to augment the telecom operator’s major frequency bands that serve its 2G, 3G, and 4G networks across Australia. It will also be developing a remote network management system that enables the telecom operator to monitor and manage its network deployments remotely and in real-time.

Mr. Simon Yeung, Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Comba Telecom and President of Comba Telecom International, said, “The partnership is an important milestone for us as it marks our business growth in the Australian market. Our innovative product portfolio, turnkey solutions, and technical expertise have given us an advantage over other major repeater suppliers to clinch the tender. This underscores our capabilities as a leading wireless solutions provider and solidifies our reputation as a trustworthy partner of telecom operators worldwide.”

Since its establishment in 1997, Comba Telecom has deployed wireless technology in more than 80 countries around the world. It provides tailored wireless solutions to many world-leading service providers and has vast experience in supplying wireless systems for major projects such as the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, 2016 Rio Summer Games, and the Eurasia Tunnel.
